Strengthening Local Governance Through Community Grants

ZGF recently disbursed over ZMW 2 million in community grants to civil society organizations working across Zambia’s ten provinces. These grants aim to strengthen local governance, increase civic participation, and support locally-led initiatives that promote transparency and service delivery.

Grantees include youth groups, women's associations, and faith-based organizations tackling critical issues such as water access, climate change awareness, and public accountability.

“These grants are not just financial support,” said ZGF Executive Director, “they are investments in citizens who are driving change from the grassroots up.”
